For the fifth consecutive season, the Salem Tech Boys Cross Country team captured the Classic Division Championship of the Tri-County Conference. Coach Matt DiTizio’s squad wrapped up another undefeated division ledger and clinched the title with a convincing victory over Pitman High School at the TCC batch meet on September 29 at Kingsway Regional High School. Sophomore Levi Seals and senior A.J. Morano placed 1st and 2nd in the event, respectively, to spearhead the Chargers’ winning effort.
The next day, on September 30, the Boys Team headed to the Westampton campus of Burlington County Tech to compete in the annual South Jersey Technical Athletic Conference Championships. Led once again by the duo of Seals and Morano (who placed 3rd and 4th respectively), the Chargers usurped the top spot from perennial powerhouse GCIT and claimed the South Jersey TAC Championship for the first time in program history. As a team, the Chargers finished 37 points clear of GCIT—the defending champions—who wound up tied for second in the event.
