Law Enforcement & Public Safety
Introduces students to the five career pathways within law enforcement and public safety: Police, Fire, EMS, Corrections and Emergency Dispatch.
- Explores the past, present and future of law enforcement and public safety and is designed to introduce students to the professions, industries and academic disciplines within.
- In-class activities introduce students to various concepts and procedures in the field including: crime scene sketching; vehicle stop and arrest; cell extractions; incident command systems; interview techniques; bike patrol techniques; and physical fitness training.
- Provides students looking to study law or criminal justice at a two or four-year college with a solid foundation of learning.
- Students can take State EMT and Firefighter courses to earn industry certificates.
