Salem County Career and Technical High School District

Admissions

Any Salem County student may apply for the high school programs or academies available through SCVTS. A wide array of career and technical programs are offered at the Salem Tech campus as both full and shared-time options. The Host-Site Academies are additional full-time options offered thanks to an articulation with our K-12 district partners around the county.

Tuition for all our high school offerings is free to county residents, and transportation is provided by the student’s resident school district.

While the application deadline has passed for next year’s SCVTS student enrollment, it’s never too early to start thinking ahead to the 2026-27 school year!

Beginning September 2, 2025, you will find links to the ’26-’27 School Year applications for Salem Tech; the SCVTS Host-Site Academy programs; and the Career Orientation program. These applications will be available for download, or you may contact our Office of Admissions to request a copy via mail or email.

Salem Tech

At Salem Tech, our students are “Leading the Charge” in the classroom and in the field! Regardless of their ambitions or goals beyond high school graduation, Salem Tech offers the instructional and educational resources to prepare our students for their next step in life. Whether that means further education at a college, university or trade school, or beginning a satisfying career via direct employment or apprenticeship, no other high school offers the multitude of pathways that Salem Tech does.

Our students graduate with a high school diploma PLUS a skills certificate in their career concentration, thus bolstering their post-secondary possibilities. We enjoy a fruitful partnership with Salem Community College that allows our students to earn college credits at no cost while never having to leave the Salem Tech campus!

Host-Site Academies

Salem Tech is partnered with four other public K-12 school districts in Salem County to provide eight additional career and technical program options. Academy students attend the given program’s host high school as full-time students. Visit our HOST-SITE ACADEMY page for more!

Career Orientation Program

This is a three-year shared-time pathway created for students who receive educational supports via their district’s child study team. Students attend Salem Tech for vocational training for half the school day while receiving academic instruction at their district high school for the other portion of the day. Upon program completion, students are eligible to receive a skills certificate in a career and technical concentration of their choosing.
