Recently 130 incoming freshmen students spent the day at Salem Tech to get their schedules, find out where their classes are and learn about how they can get involved in sports and various clubs.
“This is one of the largest freshmen classes we’ve had in quite a while,” said Jason Helder principal. “It was great seeing all the excited students walking the halls, meeting their counselors, trying to open their lockers and eager to sign up for different clubs and athletics.”
Each of the new students received a class t-shirt and a Chromebook.
Students from Salem Tech’s Student Government Association participated in greeting the incoming freshmen students as well as serving as tour guides.
