Mrs. Keely DiTizio, Academy of Agricultural Science instructor and FFA advisor was recently awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree at the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. The Honorary American Degree is among the highest honors awarded by the FFA organization and it is bestowed upon teachers who have created high-quality agricultural education programs which inspire and motivate their students to strive for success. Some 70,000 FFA members and guests were present at Lucas Oil Stadium for the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes excellence in Ag Education from across the country.
“We are so proud of Mrs. DiTizio for earning this honor and recognition,” said Mr. Jason Helder, principal. “Mrs. DiTizio works hard with her students throughout the year on various projects and has developed relationships with our local farmers and other Ag partners to advance agricultural education.”
Mrs. DiTizio and several of her students traveled to the 96th National FFA Convention and Expo, in Indianapolis Indiana where they competed in several competitions and attended various leadership workshops.
