PSEG Nuclear’s 25 year-long partnership with Salem County Vocational Technical Schools (SCVTS) has benefited countless students in the Academy for Energy Applications. The company helped develop the Academy’s curriculum at its inception in 2007 and continues to provide expert insight into industry standards, donate tools and equipment and offer workplace tours for the students.

PSEG Nuclear’s commitment and dedication to the students’ education and career success is valued by SCVTS, which recently named the company its 2023 Business Partner of the Year.

PSEG Nuclear has representation on the Program Advisory Board, maintaining connections with the Academy for Energy Applications and its students. The company’s relationship with the program has led to many job offers for SCVTS graduates.

PSEG Nuclear also supports SCVTS through its involvement in the district’s Educational Foundation. The company financially supported and participated in the SCVTS summer programs for 7th and 8th graders in the county and recently donated two scoreboards for use by the athletic programs.

“We are so appreciative of the partnership with PSEG Nuclear that we have cultivated and grown over the years,” said Jason Helder, principal of SCVTS. “Their commitment to career and technical education and the assistance they provide have enabled us to offer the Academy for Energy Applications to our students, which is unique to Salem County.”
